We’re conveniently located on the edge of Winchester, Hampshire, near to major air and sea ports and we’re less than ten minutes from a mainline train station, so you can be with us in just over an hour from London Waterloo. If you would like to stay nearby, we can arrange country pubs with rooms in our village or high-end luxury hotels, just a short drive away.

The Team
Nick Bentley - Founder
Nick launched Hideaway in late 2019, driven by a lifelong passion for cars of every shape and style. He began trading in Volkswagens and Audis, but quickly realised his true enthusiasm lay in classic, performance and generally interesting cars.
Since owning an entire fleet wasn’t practical (yet!), Nick chose the next best thing—looking after other people’s pride and joys.
Feel free to test his knowledge on any make or model. He loves a challenge and looks forward to hearing from you.
Roger Nicholas
Roger ran his own garage for 50 years before “retiring.”
After meeting him while working on customer vehicles, we invited him to join us—and we haven’t looked back. His experience is invaluable, especially when it comes to diagnosing issues on older cars, as well as preparing customer vehicles for collection and storage.
Kate Bentley-Evans
Kate, Nick’s long-suffering wife, spent nearly 30 years in Commercial Aviation Maintenance. She and her father owned two companies providing both in-air support and scheduled ground checks.
Her finely tuned “radar head” now ensures your vehicle—and your account—receive the same meticulous attention to detail.
Ian Ellison
Supporting Nick and sharing the same passion for all things automotive, Ian brings deep hands-on experience. He has long owned a Gilbern, rallies a vintage Riley, and takes a Honda Type R to the track whenever he can.
